ANDREAS ASPROFTAS 
(1919 - ) 

Born 1919 in Tripimeni and lived in Famagusta where he studied under Tilemanthos Kanthos

Studied Medicine at Athens University, but due to the 1940 war had to return to Cyprus, where he once again begins contacts with Kanthos and dedicates himself to Art and Music

Studies Art and Music at Perugia, Italy

Teaches Art for 28 years at various schools in Cyprus and continues painting throughout this period

His main subject matter in Art are Nature and the Country Side scenes of Cyprus

Currently his his 80's, he continues painting

Has exhibited many times in Cyprus and abroad and his works hang in many Public and private collections
